    The sensors installed in the store capture detailed shopper behavior data. This data is presented in this powerful experience for your CEO, marketing executives, operations and visual merchandizers. This application is a reporting module that provides high fidelity shelf & floor analytics and in-store shopper behavior data. It is designed to serve actionable insight. The KPIs delivered include shopper's product preferences, shopper journey, staff effectiveness, traffic analysis, hot and cold spots, product alternatives, product attaches and campaign management. It answers questions such as:

    • What percentage of shoppers visit the shoe section on an average Monday morning? How does that fraction vary over a typical week?

    Store traffic analysis

    Review product information to better prepare themselves

    Associates receive ready to consume information on customers’ product browsing in the store, their current location, their dwell times, comparisons made by them and their overall interest. This module provides access to latest product descriptions and rich information such as anecdotes, contextual knowledge, suggested upselling opportunities, product reviews, product stock status and attachments. Sales add-ons can be updated instantly based on what products the customer has interacted with or avoided. AVA tablet puts all this information and more right in the palm of your associates.

    Centralized associate collaboration platform

    Associates message their peers, managers, another RSP and remote product experts and collaborate with store’s or brands’ service desks. Additionally, associate app is a powerful training tool and a knowledge base with new products information, upcoming promotions and corporate policies. It is centrally updated and managed.

    Manage queue and serve shoppers in the right order

    Using this app, associates view the customers entering the store, waiting for checkout, or queuing for customer service in real-time and assist them promptly to reduce queue lengths. Associates receive store manager’s instructions to attend another department in the store and alert store manager for additional help needed in his department to ensure shorter wait times.

    Theft detection

    This theft detection tool is an add-on module (beta). If a customer walks away with an untethered item from store display shelves, the store associates will get an instant alert on their apps. The associate app logs all theft events that happen during the day. This includes a picture of the event, location and time.

    Product presentation

    This product presentation tool is an add-on module. Associates’ mobile phones is equipped with a power tool that helps them present product information to customers. Using this tool, the associates can easily play promotional or informational content on digital signage or displays located in the store. The tool is triggered by simply tapping associates’ phones on products, shelves, or signage.

    Store Manager App

    Store Manager App is the manager’s aggregate view of the Associate Apps. It is a tablet (or phone) app that enables real time communication with the store associates, through the Associates App, leveraging the data insights provided. This enables staffing adjustments and customer service coverage for priority areas of the store.

    The manager will be notified when items are running low on the shelves before they go out of stock, as well as review current shopper traffic and expected traffic in various store locations or departments. She can also instantly determine the effectiveness of fixtures, campaigns and staff members.

  • FAQ

    Does AVA retail need internet connectivity? How much?

    Only bandwidth required is for uploading summary/ report data if it is stored outside the store. This is small amount of data and is usually transferred at night. Online connectivity 24x7 lets our remote support reach the system anytime and is recommended but not required.

    Does the system provide help against shoplifting/ theft?

    AVA retail has an optional module to trigger removal of devices from tables up to 80% accuracy and is generally helpful keeping an eye on possible thefts.

    Does the system record videos?

    No. It does not record videos or even a single frame with shoppers in it. All analysis is 100% computers and machine learning. No identities are tracked unless shoppers have ‘opted in’ their mobile phone app.

    Does it meet privacy standards?

    Yes. It exceeds the standards of the usual security camera system prevalent in the industry (called CCTV).
